Google Chrome has unofficially hit the Developer’s Preview stage.Earlier this week Kevin Rose from Digg twitted the link for the Download .
The release clearly states that it is a Developers Preview only.It fits into the silver GUI of OS X and does not have the featured Google logo as in other Windows releases of Chrome in the top right hand corner.
The Speed test can be found at the link here. Safari still scores a point above the class.
Though t scores a 100 on the Acid3 test straight out of the box, but doesn’t pass: it fails something called the linktest, which involves interacting A tags and IFRAMEs. A little research suggests that it could be a bug with Webkit. If that’s true, then it’s a bug that Safari 4 beta has fixed.
While TUAW claims it to be a ‘good MAC citizen’ we found it otherwise as it can install as a Default MAC browser even in the Developer’s Preview.
Even though in preliminary stage we found its speed to be pretty good though it could not beat Safari 4 by a long shot yet, it is a promising product for the future.Do watch this space for more on Google Chrome.
